The Ball Family Reserve honors their family’s tradition in instrument making with the release of the new StingRay Special Slugger Bass. These rare items, only available in limited production runs, allows them to showcase instruments to the public that were previously reserved for family and artists.

The StingRay Special Slugger is part of the new Fall Collection of Family Ball Reserve Basses. The lightweight ash body of this limited edition Ball Family Reserve StingRay 4 has a silky matte natural finish. The figured roasted maple fingerboard has an oil and wax finish and is accentuated attractively with black block position marks and unusual striped ebony hardwood control knobs.

This bass, which features dual neodymium humbucking pickups, a 3-band EQ, and a 5-way switch. These additions give all of the classic StingRay punch as well as a range of coil voicing possibilities. Unlike most other SR4 basses, the usual big pickguard has been removed to highlight the superb premium grain ash. Other distinguishing characteristics include all-black hardware and ergonomic, lightweight cloverleaf tuners.
