NAMM 2021 - Believe in Music Week

PRESS RELEASE – ESP Guitars has announced new and updated additions to their bass offerings for 2021.

ESP Guitars LTD Black Metal Bass

The LTD M-4 Black Metal is a new addition to the LTD Black Metal Series. Comparable in build quality to the LTD Deluxe “1000 Series” instruments, Black Metal Series basses offer a dark and menacing design theme of all-black finish, components, and hardware, a single premium-quality pickup, and Macassar ebony fingerboards with no inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers. The M-4 Black Metal marks the return of the M design to LTD’s bass offerings, with its bolt-on construction, slab body, speedy maple neck, and pointed inline headstock.

This 34” scale bass features a single direct-mount EMG 35CS pickup with a special black logo, a pickup that combines ceramic magnets and steel poles for warmth and punch with a smooth top end and plenty of output. The M-4 Black Metal also features Grover tuners, a Gotoh 201B-4 bridge, and stainless steel frets.

The LTD Deluxe Phoenix-1004 has a 34” scale neck-thru-body design, using a five-piece mahogany/ walnut neck with mahogany body wings, and a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 21 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets and ESP flag inlays. Other highlights of the Phoenix-1004 include its reverse headstock, satin finish neck, LTD vintage tuners, Gotoh 201B-4 bridge, and a set of outstanding EMG 35P4 and EMG 35J pickups.

ESP has also added new finish options to two of its current popular basses. The LTD GB-4, now available in Vintage White finish with gold hardware, is completely unique among the LTD series of basses with its set of Seymour Duncan SSB-4 pickups with Duncan’s STC-3M3 active EQ. It provides stacked treble/ bass controls and dedicated midrange controls well as a push-pull feature on the volume knob that engages the GB-4’s slap switch.

The GB-4 offers sturdy 5-bolt construction, with a swamp ash body and maple neck with block inlays on the fingerboard. Pro-quality components include a Gotoh 404BO-4 bridge with brass saddles that allows for both standard and string-thru-body setups. Its neck profile is slim, allowing for fast, precise performances.

The affordable ESP Guitars LTD AP-204 is now offered in a Dark Metallic Purple finish. A bolt-on design at 34” scale, the AP-204 features a mahogany body, a comfortable thin U-shaped maple neck, and roasted jatoba fingerboard with 21 extra-jumbo frets. The AP-204 includes a set of ESP Designed LDP and LDJ pickups with active 2-band EQ.

Detailed information and specifications on new LTD basses, along with all of ESP’s “New for 2021” guitar and bass collection, is available at the ESP web site at www.espguitars.com
