Sergio Vega has been supplying the Deftones and Quicksand with their rumbling bass sound for almost a decade. But now he’s ready to let go of some of the gear that brought him to where he is now after all this time.

The Official Sergio Vega of Deftones & Quicksand Reverb Shop is now open, so you may own a piece of rock and roll history.

Basses, guitars, and other instruments utilized by Vega are all up for grabs. “This is very important to me,” he says. “I’ve been using these for the past ten years or so with Quicksand and Deftones.” These are the stuff I utilized on Deftones’ worldwide tours.”

A Fractal Axe FX-II and Axe FX-II XL that Vega used for live shows and recording is one of the shop’s highlights.

“All of my settings and patches from throughout the years are still there,” he explains. “So they’ve got everything from the patches I used for ‘Diamond Eyes,’ ‘Poltergeist,’ ‘Tempest,’ and so on, to the seed patches I’d produce during writing sessions. They cover everything, including my live and recording patches, so you’ll be able to observe all of my sound variations.”

Some of the other items from The Official Sergio Vega of Deftones & Quicksand Reverb Shop include:

  • Vega’s collection of Fender Jaguar basses – “These are the basses I’ve recorded everything from Diamond Eyes to Ohm, as well as Interiors with Quicksand,” he adds.
  • Fender Squier Bass VIs, – “These are things that I have cherished and have diligently kept over the years.”
  • Tour posters, a wardrobe case, and other road-worn mementos are also available.

Vega has realized that it’s time to clean up the studio as he continues to add to his gear collection. “The only reason I’m getting rid of all of this gear is because I’m not using it as much as I used to, and also because as you acquire more gear, you need to create room for it,” he explains.

The Official Sergio Vega of Deftones & Quicksand Reverb Shop now has your piece of metal history.
