Ibanez Basses For 2023

The Ibanez brand name conjures visions of ’50s semi-hollow guitars and ’60s solid body guitars and basses with odd body shapes. However, in recent years, the folks at Ibanez have added more contemporary designs to its lineup, covering a variety of styles that have something to offer for every bassist out there.

The SRC6MS Multi-Scale Crossover Bass, SR Premium lines, and the EHB1005F headless bass guitar (which Ibanez claims is the first-ever fretless EHBs) are all new for 2023 in the company’s ever-expanding bass range.

Look below to learn more about the new models.

The EHB1005F headless bass has many of the same features as the current EHB1000 series, but it now has a new Arctic Ocean Matte finish and a fretless blue Richlite fretboard. It has a chambered American basswood body and a roasted maple/walnut neck, making it far from your typical 5-string. The EHB1005F additionally includes a pair of BH2 humbucking pickups coupled to a Vari-mid 3-band EQ to maximize the tonal attributes built into the design.

This new version of the SRC6 Crossover bass features a multi-scale design with scale lengths ranging from 28.5 inches on the first string to 30 inches on the sixth string, paying homage to the original SRC6 Crossover bass Ibanez initially debuted in 2014. A rosewood fretboard, Bartolini BH2 pickups, and a mono-rail bridge are additional noteworthy features. The SRC6 Crossover will be very helpful for guitarists who want to explore low-frequency riffs or bass players looking for something more on the treble side. It splits the difference between a baritone guitar and a short-scale bass.

SR1350B Series Premium Basses

So what has changed with the Ibanez SR Premium basses? It includes a new combination of top woods and a brand-new double mocha burst flat finish. Ibanez claims that the new top, a blend of Walnut, Panga Panga, and Maple, combined with the new finish, provides the optimum balance of features with subtle and lovely visual changes.

  • Nordstrand Big Single pickups.
  • KTSTM TITANIUM reinforcement rods.
  • Atlas-4 5pc Panga Panga/Purpleheart neck.
