Aguilar has introduced the TLC DLX Compressor EQ, a refined and more flexible take on its well known TLC Compressor. Built with bass players in mind, the TLC DLX focuses on a clear idea, get your dynamics right first, then shape the tone. The result is clean, musical compression paired with a simple but powerful EQ, all packed into a pedalboard friendly format that works just as well live as it does in the studio.

The compressor section offers full control with Threshold, Attack, Release, Ratio, Output, and Blend. This setup lets you fine tune not only how much compression you use, but also how it responds to your playing. You can go from light smoothing to tighter peak control without losing feel.

A clear LED gain reduction meter makes it easy to see what the compressor is doing, while the Blend control allows for parallel compression, keeping your natural attack intact while adding punch and consistency. The Output knob helps you quickly match levels after compression.

On the tone side, the TLC DLX adds a musical EQ inspired by Aguilar’s DB 925 boost circuit. The Bass and Treble controls are boost only and very broad, so they enhance your sound without making it harsh or artificial. Used together with the compressor, the EQ helps your bass sit better in the mix while still sounding open and expressive.

Think of the TLC DLX as a compact channel strip for bass. It brings studio style control and tone shaping into a pedal that feels at home on any modern bass board. Aguilar describes it as a natural evolution of the original TLC, keeping the familiar feel players love while adding more flexibility and tonal options.

The Aguilar TLC DLX Compressor EQ is available now with a street price of $329.99.
