Ibanez has unveiled the UB805 as the newest electric bass in their Upswing range, new for 2023. Ibanez’s response to requests for an electric upright that is proportionally comparable to a bass guitar so that players can switch between both instruments more readily was the Upswing series, which debuted in 2018.
The UB805 expands on this idea in the most logical way possible by including a low B string. Similar to the UB804, the UB805 features a Maple body, a Jatoba fingerboard, a 34″ scale length, and a unique AeroSilk Piezo Pickup system. Additionally, the bass comes with a unique TAMA Roadpro stand and gig bag.
