It’s October, which means the SXSW Music Festival has announced the first wave of artists who have been invited to perform at SXSW 2022. The music festival, as is customary, begins by announcing up-and-coming musicians/bands, followed by some well-known acts. The festival’s 2022 iteration will take place in Austin, Texas from March 14 to March 20, 2022. After being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, and being online this year owing to the pandemic, it will be in person this year.
A preliminary roster of almost 200 acts was announced today. Maxo Kream, Aeon Station, Duma, Ezra Furman, Claire Rousay, Horsegirl, A Giant Dog, Kristin Hersh, Brigid Mae Power, Maria BC, Silver Synthetic, Delta Spirit, Hrishikesh Hirway, are just some of the bands that we can hear live at this year’s SXSW Music Festival.
