Tower of Power, the legendary soul, funk, and R&B group, has announced a new spring tour across the United States, marking their first major outing since the Covid-19 outbreak began. The journey will begin in Nevada and end in Florida, with a focus on the East Coast. It will run from February through April.

It was the late Francis “Rocco” Prestia who created the bubbling bass lines that made this Bay Area funk collective the legends that they are today. Since Rocco’s health started to decline the bass chair was passed on to Marc Van Wageningen. Marc joined the band as a full-fledged member in 2018 and has been carrying on the tradition.

To get into the mood, check out Tower of Power tiny desk concert which was recorded live 2018, featured Marc with the smooth grooves.
