It’s official! AC/DC is roaring back onto the North American stage for their first tour since 2016. Back then, Axl Rose stepped in to front the band when Brian Johnson had to step back due to severe hearing issues. But this time, the iconic Brian Johnson is back where he belongs, leading the charge for the next leg of their Power Up Tour.
Joining Johnson on this epic journey is founding member and guitar legend Angus Young, alongside rhythm guitarist Stevie Young (Angus’s nephew). The lineup also includes touring members Matt Laug on drums and the phenomenal Chris Chaney on bass, whose incredible session work and live performances have made him a standout player in the music world.
For those who might’ve missed it, Power Up—AC/DC’s 2020 album—was a monster hit, packed with singles like “Shot in the Dark” and “Demon Fire” that captured the band’s classic sound. Tracks like “Through the Mists of Time” and “Realize” quickly became fan favorites. And if you’re wondering what’s on the setlist, it’s safe to expect a mix of these newer gems and the timeless anthems from both the Brian Johnson and Bon Scott eras.
The tour kicks off April 10 in Minnesota and wraps up May 28 in Ohio, with support from rock powerhouse The Pretty Reckless. Tickets go on sale December 6 at 12 PM local time, so mark your calendar and head to AC/DC’s website for all the details.
