Davie504’s channel is mainly dedicated to all things bass, especially the SLAP BASS. He is known for creating unconventional videos, such as using M&M’s to cover Eminem’s songs, playing a Korn medley using corn cobs, and using actual chili peppers for a Red Hot Chili Peppers medley. Davie504 also likes to make challenge videos where he plays bass on guitars with 15, 24, 36, and 69 strings and a guitar with no strings.

Despite frequently making sarcastic videos about slap bass, it is one of his favorite techniques on the bass. He considers it the most suitable for making YouTube videos because it is easily audible on any speaker. The number in his username, 504, represents his birth date, April 5. He affectionately refers to his fans as “slappers.”

Davie504 Early Life and Career Beginnings

Davie504, originally named Davide Biale, was born on April 5, 1994, in the seaside town of Albisola Superiore in Savona, Italy. Other children teased him due to his naturally low, bassy, and monotonous voice, but that was in fact, an early sign of his inclination towards bass in his DNA.

Davide, who started playing bass guitar in November 2009, revealed that he had no prior knowledge of the instrument. His interest in playing the bass guitar developed after playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, where he discovered the song Strutter by Kiss. Upon finding a live version of the song on YouTube, Davie was captivated by the powerful solo performance by the band’s bassist, the rock legend Gene Simmons, which piqued his interest in the instrument. Despite primarily being a gamer with a growing interest in music and instruments, he purchased Guitar Hero, which further amplified his love for music.

After convincing his parents to buy him a bass guitar, he formed a band to play live shows. At 17, he received his first camera as a birthday gift and created his YouTube channel, Davie504, on May 19, 2011. He began uploading short videos regularly, including his first video, Funk Bass Groove, on June 3, 2011.

He has been an enthusiastic gamer since his father gave him a PS1 as a child, and he enjoyed playing games like ‘Hercules’ and ‘Crash Bandicoot.’ Throughout childhood, he had various interests, including magic, karate, and volleyball. After Italy’s football team won the 2006 World Cup, he was inspired to take up football and became determined to become the most outstanding goalkeeper of all time. Unfortunately, he left the sport after facing pressure from professional matches and being ridiculed by some new players on the team after making mistakes. Later, he studied music production at a college in London.

Rise to YouTube Stardom

Although his channel was slowly growing, his motivation dwindled when he started attending university in Genova. However, his inspiration was reignited after winning a shout-out competition by popular YouTuber PewDiePie. This victory prompted him to drop out of university and dedicate himself to YouTube full-time.

In July 2017, he uploaded the video 15 STRINGS BASS SOLO, which quickly went viral and helped him reach the 1 million subscriber milestone by October of that year. In November, he followed up with another video titled 24 STRINGS BASS SOLO, which became one of his most-viewed videos with 35 million views. Since then, he has become one of the most followed bass players on YouTube, gaining 2,5 billion (yes, that’s billion with a b) views.

Davie504 Personal Life

In 2014, Davie504 received a message from a subscriber named ‘Drungayu,’ an indigenous Taiwanese girl who played bass and had her own YouTube channel (now known as ‘yuuu’). They began chatting and eventually became an online couple. Two years later, he flew to Taiwan to meet her in person for the first time. Originally intending to stay for two weeks, he stayed for three months until his visa expired. Since then, a lot has happened, they married in 2022 and have been living in Italy ever since.
