Fender 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass

Fender just released the 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass model in limited edition. This company undoubtedly changed music history when they released the Precision bass. They did it again a couple of years later when they released the Jazz Bass in 1960.

Now, to celebrate six decades of Jazz Bass, Fender has launched the 60th Anniversary model, limited edition. This bass only going to be available in 2020.

Fender already established itself with the Precision bass and it was not an easy task to follow that. They released the Jazz Bass model in 1960 and soon it became one of the most widely used instruments in funk, rock, soul, blues, and even in heavy metal.

The 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass stays true to the original design but also elevates it to new levels. Two Vintage ‘62 pickups deliver that classic Jazz Bass tone. It also has concentric volume and tone controls, just like the original 1960 model had. It allows complete command over the blend and character of each pickup. It has an alder body and maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard, bone nut, vintage-correct 7.25” radius, vintage tall frets, and a fast and comfortable ’60s U-shaped neck.

The lacquer finish in Arctic Pearl is complemented by the tortoiseshell pickguard, white binding on the neck, and matching head cap, making the 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass an already modern classic. It also comes with aa deluxe vintage-style case with 60th-anniversary embroidery and certificate of authenticity.

Other features on the 60th Anniversary are the four-saddle bridge with threaded steel saddles and reverse open-gear tuners. The 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass is going for $2,199.99.
