Fender has just announced the release of the new Player II Series, an evolution of its best-selling Player line. This revamped collection stays true to the spirit of classic Fender instruments while offering modern enhancements designed for today’s players – and that includes some exciting updates for bassists.
What’s New for the Fender Player II Basses?
The Player II Jazz Bass and Player II Precision Bass both return with upgraded features aimed at boosting comfort, performance, and visual appeal:
- Rolled Fretboard Edges: A smoother playing experience straight out of the box – no breaking in required.
- Modern “C” Neck Shape: Sleek and comfortable, ideal for a wide range of playing styles.
- Gloss Neck Finish: A polished touch that plays as smooth as it looks.
- Vintage-Style Tuners: Classic aesthetics with rock-solid tuning stability.
- Rosewood Fingerboards: A return to a fan-favorite tonewood, replacing the previously used Pau Ferro.
Fender is introducing a vibrant range of new finishes with the Player II line, including:
- Aquatone Blue
- Hialeah Yellow
- Coral Red
- Birch Green
These sit alongside timeless favorites like 3-Color Sunburst, Black, and Polar White.
Every instrument in the Player II Series is crafted at Fender’s factory in Ensenada, Mexico, continuing the brand’s legacy of reliable quality and player-first design.
