Famed rock/fusion power trio, The Aristocrats take an unexpected symphonic turn with their newest release. The CD features an impresive and extravagant musical reimagining of Aristocrats songs together with the Primuz Chamber Orchestra.
“This initiative started when we came across a YouTube video of Poland’s Primuz Chamber Orchestra performing one of our songs as reinvented by composer/arranger Wojtek Lemaski,” the band adds in a statement.
Their flawless execution of a difficult arrangement (which was breathtakingly imaginative while remaining completely faithful to the spirit of the original song!) inspired us to seek out and propose a collaboration.
This album was created throughout the course of 2021 as a result of that procedure. The entire work consists of nine trio performances taken from the band’s previous studio albums.
These songs have been remixed from the ground up by award-winning engineer Forrester Savell and completely transformed and reinvented by the orchestra’s stirring rendition of Wojtek Lemaski’s string arrangements.
“With this approach, Wojtek was able to construct orchestrations that treated many of the spontaneous, improvised parts from our original ‘band in a room’ takes as if they were part of the actual compositions… generating some interesting results!” the band continues.
“We’re quite pleased with the final outcome, and we’ll be eternally grateful that fate brought us all together for this endeavor.” Enjoy!”
The Aristocrats With Primuz Chamber Orchestra is released just weeks before the band’s first tour in almost two years, the 10-week, 50-city North American DEFROST tour, which will feature new material from the band. Check out their website here for all the dates and ticket connections.
