The Quad Cortex mini is an all-in-one rig for guitarists and bassists who want the full Quad Cortex sound without the big footprint. It’s more than 50% smaller than the original, yet it doesn’t skimp on features.

Whether you’re playing live, recording, practicing, writing, or touring light, the mini is designed to fit in tight spaces while still giving you the full rig experience.

“Since launching Quad Cortex in 2020, our goal has been to set the standard for all-in-one digital rigs,” says Douglas Castro, CEO and Co-Founder of Neural DSP. “With the mini, we kept everything that makes Quad Cortex great – the machine-learning modeling, studio-quality audio, and fast workflow – and shrunk it down. You get ultra-accurate captures of amps, cabs, pedals, and compressors, now in a package that’s easier to take anywhere.”

At just 8.9” x 4.6” x 2.5” and weighing 3.3 lbs, the mini slides nicely into pedalboards, small racks, or desktop setups. Control is simple thanks to a 7” touchscreen plus four stainless steel rotary footswitches, giving precise hands-on control whether you’re playing live or in the studio.

Key Features of the Quad Cortex Mini:

  • Neural Capture V1 & V2 for amps, cabs, drives, fuzzes, and compressors
  • 90+ amps, 100+ effects, 1000+ IRs, 2000+ Captures included
  • Free access to thousands of community Captures via Cortex Cloud
  • Focus system for quick parameter tweaks using footswitches
  • Pages system for extended footswitch control
  • Preset, Scene, Stomp, and Hybrid modes for flexible workflows
  • Gig View for clean, performance-friendly stage layout
  • 16-channel USB-C audio interface (8 in / 8 out)
  • Plugin compatibility with supported Neural DSP plugins
  • Cortex Control desktop app for editing, backups, and organizing

The mini also adds a locking power connector for secure live use and has versatile I/O: an instrument/mic combo input with phantom power, balanced XLR outs, stereo send/return, MIDI over TRS and USB-C, plus a headphone output for silent practice.

It works seamlessly with the Quad Cortex ecosystem, letting you move presets and backups between devices easily. That means you can share sounds, keep rigs consistent, or run multiple units without rebuilding everything.

“Quad Cortex mini proves that size doesn’t limit what a professional rig can do,” says Francisco Cresp, Co-Founder and CPO. “It gives you the same sound, processing, and control as the full Quad Cortex, but in a package you can take anywhere. Whether you’re in the studio, on stage, or on tour, you get the same results and the same trust in your rig.”

The new Quad Cortex Mini is available now at the street price of $1399. Check out Neural DSP‘s website to learn more.
