Recently, Ernie Ball Music Man released the Mike Herrera StingRay bass. Although, Mike Herrera, the frontman and bassist for MXPX, has been using a personalized StingRay that has been customized to his individual needs for more than 20 years they just released this new variation.
But now the public is also avaialble to get the Mike Herrera Signature StingRay bass. This StingRay has an ash body with a Seafoam Green and also in a limited Flat Black finish, a matching headstock, an engraved pickguard made of white pearloid, passive electronics (no battery needed), and a neckplate with a unique laser engraving of the Artist Series.
The Herrera StingRay has a conventional 2-band EQ StingRay, but in reality, the pickup is linked directly to the jack using three false knobs. Alnico magnets, a six-bolt neck construction, 21 nickel frets, and a maple neck and fretboard are also present on the bass.
Furthermore, for 2022 Ernie Ball released a brand-new “Flat Black” package. This bass comes with a satin finish, a numbered neck plate, a Mike Herrera-signed certificate of authenticity, and a Mono case. There are just 10 Flat Black packages available worldwide.
